A less-than-glowing review on the CTR from someone who actually bothered to do research on it. Spoiler alert: he still mostly likes it.

It also won Top Gear’s car of the year, edging out the 720S. That said the 720s won Top Gear’s performance car of the year edging out the CTR. Make of that what you will.

Oh yeah the CTR is built in England. Also as a long time subscriber to Top Gear mag it’s nice to have a British car win for once. I think the last one was the DB9 ten years ago.

I love that it drives well. I’ve loved Hondas & Acuras in the past, and would love to want this, but the styling just kills me... Hoping they tone it down in the refresh.

Yeah, I could potentially afford one when I pay the TSX off. But I don’t think I’d buy one. I’d probably choose the Accord with the detuned version of the same engine.

The CTR is a better daily driver than the 720S is a performance car, which makes the CTR better all around

That engine is more different than I thought initially, but the new Accord does seem to be a very good car.

Yeah. I know Honda won’t sell the CTR crate engine for street use (I’m assuming for liability purposes), but if they made an HFP version of the Accord with it I bet it would sell.

Yeah. I actually like the new Accord as long as it has the black grille. Seen a few in the wild now and they remind me of the S7/RS7.

it would look a lot better if the hood scoop were bigger - kind of balance the look :)
